If you are using a Mac running OSX mudding has never been easier.

Go into your Applications folder and look for the folder called Utilites.

In the Utilities folder there is an application called Terminal.

Drag and drop that into your dock and launch it.

You will notice that to be contrarian the color scheme is black text on a white background. (this is the opposite of everything anyone who uses a command line is used to)

To change this go into the Terminal menu and select Window Settings.

Select Color from the pull-down menu at the top of the window.

Change the Use background color palette to a dark grey. (you will not be able to see black text if you change the background to solid black)

Change the Cursor palette to a light grey.

Change the Normal Text to a light grey.

Change the Bold Text to solid white.

Close the window and type in telnet badtripmud.com 7778.

Ok so there is a huge update happening with classes.  This is a combonation of evening out the existing classes, removing silly skills/spells that some classes have and adding more and better skills/spells.

 Currently the concept is there 3 of each classes, 1 for each type of alignment.  Each one of these have specific abilities dependent on the alignment. 

Alignment will play a heavy part in the mud over time, as we want people to pick an alignment and RP/PK/Play as what they choose.  The ability to change classes and thus alignments will be available but will require some type of RP to explain how the changes happened.

We now have the domain name setup for badtripmud.com to now work.  No need to use darksiders.net as this was our development/temp domain to use.
